From a new brand repositioning to inspiring new investor and marketing communications.
Torotrak plc works at the forefront of transmissions technology, developing innovative ways to improve performance and reduce costs in the automotive and transportation industry.
We began working with Torotrak in 2009 when they asked us to refresh and revitalise their annual report. Our challenge was to make the complex technical information more accessible and to communicate Torotrak’s position as the leaders in their highly specialised field.
The result was an engaging, clear and highly readable report – that also won an Investor Relations Society Best Practice award. Following this success, we were invited to work on a full brand repositioning project.
The project began with a comprehensive review of Torotrak’s market and competitive positioning. Working with the Torotrak team, we helped Torotrak focus on the true benefits of their technologies – for both Torotrak’s customers and the end users.
To best exploit these opportunities, they also identified the need to transform Torotrak’s image, from specialist but obscure engineers, to major players in the mission to improve transport efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. From this insight, the new positioning of “Driving Change” was born.
Based on this inspiring new positioning, we revitalised every aspect of Torotrak’s communications – from their company logo and identity, to their exhibition materials and website (currently under construction). Torotrak’s new company identity truly reflects the value of their technologies and puts them in a strong position to develop new opportunities and revenue streams for the future.
