Torotrak plc develops low carbon transmission technology that improves performance and reduces costs in the automotive and transportation industry.
He developed strong case study material, demonstrating the strategy in action. Creating an Annual Report with a more strategic focus and with messages focused on existing and potential new investors was the core of Torotrak’s brief to Mad Hen.
Sid began by helping them to take a fresh look at the structure of the Annual Report and to articulate the evolution of the company’s strategy in a clear and concise way.
Creating graphical interpretations of dense numerical statistics presented a visually impressive element to the report and a clear and well-written Q&A section which covered a wide range of relevant questions posed by both customers and investors. The report layout, graphics, typography and photography were all updated to give a more ‘leading edge’ appearance. The outcome was a professional, targeted and high impact annual report, which was named as the ‘Most Improved Annual Report’ in the Investor Relations Society’s 2010 Best Practice Awards, recognizing best practice in investor communications through annual reports and websites.
